    Now, does it have a plaque that indicates when it was erected? It puts me in mind of railway siding buidlings, for some reason.

  3. Do you know, I've never noticed a plaque. I must have a look.

    From the research I've done, though, the post office was built in 1890. I found a photo of it circa 1920. Unfortunately, it's not public domain, but it can be viewed here: http://www.picturevictoria.vic.gov.au/site/murrindindi/yea/10469.html

  6. That's interesting that is was built in 1890. So many brick post offices that look rather like this (without the impressive double doors) were from the 1920s.

  7. When you said that I thought I'd better check my facts again. Phew, I was right. It was indeed built in 1890.
