I am rarely fast enough to capture insects and the s/s has to be super fast because my hands are not too steady.I like both the palette and the textures of these two.Don't worry about using Alan's photos. It is all the same habitat. I am happy just to "go bush" once a day.

I actually SAW a dragon-fly on my walk through the Lachlan Swamps this morning. I stopped still. And he stopped still. Of course, not a bloody camera in sight!
I don't know if you used a macro lens, but that dragonfly looks pretty big to me.
Macro all the way. As far as dragonflies go, he's only little.
