Puggle Comes to Visit
Okay, I admit I’m besotted with this little puggle. But how could I not be? He turned up at the back door yesterday and plopped into one of the water bowls I leave out for the birds and had a good drink (see his pink tongue?). Quenched, he then preceded to investigate a pair of outdoor shoes.

Australia Day Special: Echidna Suckling Her Puggle
It’s very rare to see an echidna feeding her puggle (baby) in the open, so it was a wonderful surprise to discover this happening in our compost heap on Sunday:
