That's interesting. If I didn't know what it was at first glance I'd think I was looking at some sort of ceramic, until I noticed the setting.
i must go back to where i photographed the old Holden.. there were similar (huge) mushroomy things in the grass..
You must have been getting some rain.
Anne: I think that’s why it caught my eye.Nikki: “Mushroomy things” – a botanist after my own heart. :)Joan Elizabeth: Some, thank goodness. Have you had much over your way?
Yes quite a lot of rain this summer ... I would have said more than normal but just check the 100 year average and we are below that ... such just goes to show memory is not always reliable.
Nature has striking geometry.
After seeing your fungi on our Wirrawilla post today, I thought I'd check and see if you'd photographed any others over the years and, yes you have. This one is quite unusual :D)
Thanks for popping over, Susan. Fungi comes in all shapes, sizes and colours. The more unusual, the better. :)
