    I am rarely fast enough to capture insects and the s/s has to be super fast because my hands are not too steady.

    I like both the palette and the textures of these two.

    Don't worry about using Alan's photos. It is all the same habitat. I am happy just to "go bush" once a day.

    I have been trying to get a decent photo of a dragonfly for months. They're usually a lot faster than the shutter. :)

    I actually SAW a dragon-fly on my walk through the Lachlan Swamps this morning. I stopped still. And he stopped still. Of course, not a bloody camera in sight!

    I don't know if you used a macro lens, but that dragonfly looks pretty big to me.

    Macro all the way. As far as dragonflies go, he's only little.
