  1. Love the photos. Wish you wrote more words about them; however, as a writer, perhaps you save those words for elsewhere!

  2. He is extraordinarily handsome! And cheeky to boot ... he knows that netting is for him, too!

Now let me see ... mint, chives, and empty one, then young basil ... what is that one in the b'ground going to flower?

I have basil, oregano, mint and English parsley which is a bit pathetic at the moment.

  3. Thanks for visiting, Jan.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone commented on why I’ve taken the term “photoblog” so literally. It’s quite simple really: this blog is supposed to be my break from writing.

    I welcome questions, though. :)

  4. Nearly right, Julie. It’s not mint but oregano. Likewise the flowering herb. The empty one is coriander (just coming up). And the one to the right that you can only see the edge of contains summer savoury.

The mint is in a big pot on the ground. Ditto the thyme, sage, parsley, Vietnamese mint, rosemary, lemon verbena, nasturtium, and garlic chives.

Alan is the gardener... and chef.
