Even more a wonder given these were taken in the middle of Melbourne, on a tree outside the photographer's bedroom. She said she was amazed they made it so far.
I don't think frogmouths are owls, but yes, I know what you mean about them being a rare sighting. Around here, we hear owls/nightjars more than we see them.
They are such beautiful birds. It is always so wonderful to see them succeed, especially with such terribly fragile nests! Great photos

DeleteOwls have been a very rare sighting in my lifetime. They seem so mysterious me as a result.
