Swamp Wallaby with Joey, Toolangi State Forest
We’re yet to finish sorting out our Grampians photos, but in the meantime, here’s one we took today on our picnic. Yes, eating outdoors when it’s a blustery 12°C/53°F with a wind chill factor many degrees lower is undoubtedly crazy. But then we would have missed this swamp wallaby and her joey.

Isn't she beautiful? What a lovely photo :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diana. We thought so, too. :)
DeleteGlad to know you're still picnicking... blustery or no. Huggie warm beanies time once again.
ReplyDeleteLove the Swamp Wallaby photo - bonus joey too. Great snap :D) Keep warm.
Beanies, scarves and thermals... ;-)
DeleteHot soup helps, too.
lovely to see them. nature has to brave the great outdoors too and you picked up a beautiful photograph
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Carole. I do feel for the wildlife on those particularly bitter days.
DeleteAre you nuts. This is not picnic weather. Couldn't you find a place with a nice warm fire looking out on the bush?
ReplyDeleteHa ha... completely bonkers. When you're rugged up and armed with the camp stove to heat the soup and make hot drinks, it's great. I really need to escape the house and indoors at least once a week. :)
