Thanks for the beaut pics Alan. You've certain captured marvellous detail of these lovely creatures. One had landed on our wire door yesterday and I carried it to the nearest tree. Couldn't be bothered picking up the camera (am photographed-out at the moment), so was glad to see the great effort you made :D)
Thanks Joan Elizabeth and Susan. They sit so still one doesn’t normally notice them, but this one was on a plant right at the door so I saw it as I went out. As I photographed it from every angle to get the best shots its head turned and looked directly into the lens. AlanS
It has its little hands poised, like the conductor's baton. (okay, where is the purple?)
