Brekkie at Bordertown, South Australia

The menu wasn't wrong when it said "very thick toast." The black stuff is Vegemite.

  1. That toast is even thicker than what my Dad called a doorstep. I dislike thick toast and that is ever thicker than normal.

  3. It was yummy. We certainly didn't go hungry. :)

Definitely thicker than a doorstep, Joan. It was white bread, so there wasn't a lot of substance to it.

  5. Okay, I just have to know--did you and Alan order the vegimite stuff on purpose???? LOL!

  6. Yep, we ordered the Vegemite. Could've had jam (I think you call it jelly in the US).

Alan gets withdrawals if he doesn't have his daily dose of Vegemite. :)

  7. Yes they certainly are chunks! Personally I am a jam with my toast person, but each to their own.

  9. Just love those slabs of toast - sometimes white bread smothered in butter ... ah, I won't go there ;D)
