Orchard Swallowtail (Papilio aegeus)

  1. Colorful. It's spring where I live so I have seen a few butterflies in the last couple of weeks, but I am yet to photograph one.

    Cherri, Alan would've liked to have used the macro lens, but this butterfly was way too fast and frenetic. It didn't stay still for a moment.

  6. They are the darndest things to photograph. Their line of flight is so non-linear ... and 3rd dimensional ... all over the shop. I can only salivate for a shot like either of these.
