Colorful. It's spring where I live so I have seen a few butterflies in the last couple of weeks, but I am yet to photograph one.

Thanks for the comments.Cherri, Alan would've liked to have used the macro lens, but this butterfly was way too fast and frenetic. It didn't stay still for a moment.
These are fantastic photos! It's very hard to capture butterflies.
They are the darndest things to photograph. Their line of flight is so non-linear ... and 3rd dimensional ... all over the shop. I can only salivate for a shot like either of these.
I never tire of butterflies and admire the capture.
