    OO ... Vicki took these, not Alan. Okay.

    Seeing a pelican up high like this always throws me for some reason. The only time they seem elegant, to me, is hen they are coming in to land. Other than they they are dumbly proportioned. I remember seeing one in a tree on the Ord River, and getting a blood rush. Yeah, dumb I know.

    Julie, I think it's their unusual proportions that makes them such interesting birds. :)
