  2. Nah, I bet this is more like super phosphate ...

How would this sort of farm task alter if you were cajoled into carbon sequestration? I am not well read on't yet,but I think it involves ploughing chunks of "carbon carrying" stuff into paddocks, not just planting acres and acres of trees.

  3. Looks like pretty rough country to get a truck through.

  4. I don't know anything about farming ... looks like hard work.

  5. They should send a truck afterwards with water.

  6. It is indeed superphosphate, which is a fertiliser. These days it’s pelletised, so there is no smell.

Our neighbour, on the other hand, spread truckloads of “green” chicken manure on his farm last year. It stunk of ammonia to high heaven for about two weeks! I’m praying he doesn’t do the same this year.

I’m not well versed in carbon sequestration. It’s a complex subject.

The country is hilly with some very steep slopes, but I wouldn’t call it rough.

Bill, they should send a fleet of trucks with water. :)

  7. A fleet of elvises (elvi) ... must be a better collective noun for this ...

  8. If you talking about the waterbombing Elvis helicopters, they were a godsend during the bushfires. Yes, a fleet of those wouldn't go amiss.
