  3. Lovely, I don't think I've noticed their feathers changing colour like that. I do however have a shot of a King Parrot in the process of a colour change which I will post sometime soon.

    Young birds changing their colours are like any other messy teenager. I love Crimson Rosellas. Something to do with the combination of colours that might be considered clashing.

  5. how odd that they change their colours like that as they grow up, I only just understood that, but then we don't see them here, as far as I know.. i am more used to the rainbow lorikeets..lol, and Galahs..
